Godzilla x Kong : The New Empire
In the conclusion of Godzilla vs Kong, the two Titans join forces to defeat Mechagodzilla, a creation of the dubious company Apex Cybernetic intended to seize control of the power source located in Kong’s homeland within the Hollow Earth—the birthplace of all Titans.
As expected, Mechagodzilla malfunctions, prompting both Godzilla and Kong to collaborate in its destruction. This shared challenge fosters a mutual respect between the Titans. Subsequently, Godzilla returns to the ocean, and Kong assumes dominion over the Hollow Earth.
The compelling new movie will explore in greater depth the backgrounds of these Titans, delving into their origins and unraveling the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond. Additionally, it will unveil the mythic battle that played a pivotal role in shaping these extraordinary beings and forever intertwining their fates with humankind.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, formerly titled Godzilla and Kong, is once again helmed by Adam Wingard, the director behind films such as A Horrible Way to Die, You’re Next, The Guest, Blair Witch, Death Note, and the previous Godzilla vs. Kong.
