Prepare for an out-of-this-world cinematic journey with Zack Snyder’s latest masterpiece, “Rebel Moon.” Streaming giant Netflix is set to unveil this epic two-part sci-fi adventure, marking Snyder’s collaboration with the platform following the success of “Army of the Dead.” Originally conceived as a mature take on Star Wars, “Rebel Moon” found a new home with Netflix after Disney’s acquisition of LucasFilm in 2012. The film unfolds in a peaceful colony on the border of a distant galaxy, facing an existential threat from the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. Residents send out the enigmatic Kora, played by Sofia Boutella, to seek aid from warriors on neighboring planets.
Scheduled for release on December 22, 2023, with a limited theatrical release on December 15, “Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire” follows the trend of Netflix releasing buzzworthy titles during the holiday season. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy, a mechanized robot on a journey of self-discovery, and Djimon Hounsou as General Titus. Ed Skrein takes on the role of Regent Balisarius, the cunning warlord threatening the peaceful colony.
Sofia Boutella, known for her roles in “Kingsman: The Secret Service” and “Star Trek Beyond,” leads the cast as Kora, the central character tasked with rallying a defense force. Two-time Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins lends his voice to Jimmy, described as a ‘wild card’ with an Arthurian element. Djimon Hounsou, acclaimed for his roles in “Blood Diamond” and the MCU, portrays General Titus. Ed Skrein, recognized for his roles in “Deadpool” and “Game of Thrones,” takes on the role of the ferocious Regent Balisarius.
“Rebel Moon” explores Zack Snyder’s grandiose storytelling in a tale of redemption and resistance. Set in the farthest reaches of the universe, Kora crash-lands on a moon and becomes the hope for survival against Regent Balisarius and his emissary, Admiral Noble. The film follows Kora’s journey to assemble a diverse group of warriors, each seeking redemption, to defend the people of Veldt. As the newly formed revolutionaries strive to trust each other and unite, they face the impending threat of the Motherworld’s armies.
Filming for “Rebel Moon” Parts One and Two took place from April to December 2022 in California. The film is produced by Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, and Eric Newman, with cinematography by Snyder himself. The script is co-written by Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten, with Tom Holkenberg composing the film’s score. As a two-part saga, “Rebel Moon” promises an immersive experience that combines character-driven storytelling with Snyder’s signature visual style. Get ready for a holiday-season blockbuster that transcends boundaries and takes you on an unforgettable journey into the unknown.

◁ On our channel we create а trailer mashups ▷
Also known as recut trailers, involve collecting multiple pieces of film footage from one or multiple movies and editing them to create a new trailer. Trailer mashups are often created for a movie that does not exist now or to change the genre of an existing film. These are derivative works as defined by the United States Copyright Act 17 U.S.C. § 101, and as such, may find protection from copyright claims under the doctrine of fair use.
The trailer mashups are not only a user generated form of digital creativity but a way to create anticipation for future releases, working in tandem with current movie trailers. Movie trailers are designed to give minimal plot detail and to create hype and anticipation. Fan made trailer mashups allow the audience to perform their own cinematic spin on current movie footage. This allows the trailer to focus on a specific actor or portion of the film. It could even change the plot or genre of the film entirely.
This video is a parody DUE to its derivative/ transformative nature this video is covered as a Fair Use of material.
