The inspiration behind this video:
Secret Invasion is the MCU’s next Disney+ series, and while it’s sure to have a lot of effects on the universe, the series could also set up the secret villain of Captain America: New World Order: Thunderbolt Ross. Harrison Ford has joined the MCU as Ross, replacing the recently deceased actor William Hurt, who has portrayed the character since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. It is rumored that the MCU is looking to reintroduce Thunderbolt Ross in a big way in Captain America: New World Order, but they may take the better opportunity to prepare the new iteration of the character in Secret Invasion.
Secret Invasion, based on the comic series of the same name, is set to follow Nick Fury and Agent Maria Hill as they uncover a global conspiracy of shape-shifting alien Skrulls that have replaced the MCU’s biggest characters. The series will have some groundbreaking revelations that will impact future MCU projects, with one of those possibly being Captain America: New World Order. Details about the fourth film are still under wraps, with the only confirmed details being that it will star Sam Wilson, as well as featuring The Leader. However, according to rumors, Thunderbolt Ross will also be a villain as President of the US.
