The character is then heavily rumored to appear in Thunderbolts, a movie about the team that shares his nickname. Ross has been a part of the Thunderbolts in the comics as his Red Hulk alter ego, and with Ford being 80, it stands to reason that the MCU could have offered him the role already thinking of having it transition to a voice-over part in the future.
While there is no confirmation of Ford joining Thunderbolts as of yet, a recent Captain America 4 set photo fueled Red Hulk speculation. The photo showed Ford with ripped pants, indicating that Ross will transform into the Red Hulk at some point in the movie. Given the character’s connection to the Thunderbolts in the comics, it makes sense for him to be in the movie. Also, Red Hulk would be a welcome addition to the team, as the film is rumored to feature the Superman-like Sentry as its villain. If that rumor is true, then the team will need all the help they can get in Marvel’s Thunderbolts.
