The latest chapter in the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World Rebirth, will act as a soft reboot for the franchise, which makes it the perfect time to put one of the franchise’s wildest story concepts into action. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, Jurassic World Rebirth plot details indicate there will be a time jump from the events of Jurassic World Dominion. Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, the leader of a team of hunters and specialists who are tracking down DNA samples of the last surviving dinosaurs in the world for a pharmaceutical company.
The only other major plot detail that’s been revealed is that Zora and her team encounter a shipwrecked family during their hunt, which results in them all ending up on an island that holds a “sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades”, as the official synopsis puts it. Naturally, speculation has taken off about what that shocking discovery might be, and of the many predictions for Jurassic World Rebirth, one makes a ton of sense given the “sinister” qualifier of the secret. In fact, it’s an idea that’s been thrown around for more than 15 years.
