Inspiration behind this video: The Batman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a reboot of the Batman film franchise. The film is directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. Matt Reeves cites the Batman comic “The Long Halloween” as an influence on the film, with its detective story and extensive use of Batman’s rogues gallery. Robert Pattinson beat out Jack Reynor, Alexander Ludwig, Jack O’Connell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Armie Hammer and Nicholas Hoult for the lead role. Zoe Kravitz and Robert Pattinson received the same advice from their predecessors of their respective roles (Michelle Pfieffer and Christian Bale respectively): make sure you can go to the bathroom while in costume. Matt Reeves has stated that his Batman movie will be a point-of-view driven noir tale with heavy focus on Batman’s detective work. He opted not to use the script Affleck had been preparing when he was set to direct, preferring to start fresh with his own story.
