Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo tune into Agents of SHIELD in this awesome WandaVision crossover edit. Marvel fans were surprised to hear WandaVision, the first MCU-set series headed to Disney+, would adopt a classic sitcom format to tell its story. Indeed, the first three episodes of WandaVision each took on the styles of television comedies from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. The series follows Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they settle into the idyllic town of Westview. Their new life is modeled like a sitcom, but there’s something distinctly wrong with their surroundings.
In the coming weeks, WandaVision will continue to jump through the decades. Interestingly enough, this will be the second Marvel show within the past year to revisit history. Last summer, Agents of SHIELD aired its seventh and final season, capping things off with an Easter-egg packed trip through the past. Some of Agents of SHIELD’s time periods have lined up with WandaVision’s, such as the 50s and 70s, making it quite easy to form connections between the two Marvel shows.
