Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is following hot on the heels of WandaVision, which only has a few episodes left to go.
The latest promo for the show, a TV spot to be specific, is pretty short and doesn’t feature that much new, but that doesn’t mean that it hasn’t gotten the fans all emotional. Over the visuals of the teaser, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) says: “A good friend of mine once said, ‘The price of freedom is high.'”
The quote he is referring to is from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, specifically the scene where Captain America (Chris Evans) says “The price of freedom is high”, obviously. It’s all kind of symbolic with the fact Sam quotes Steve Rogers and is taking on Cap’s mantle, showing that it’s him rather than Bucky (Sebastian Stan) who wants to keep Cap’s legacy going the most. Either way, for now he’s quoting this specific thing, and fans are feeling all kinds of emotional about it.
