The inspiration behind this video:
Eternals’ costume designers Sammy Sheldon and Ivo Coveny have revealed how tight production on the Marvel movie was between production and shooting. Sheldon and Coveny designed the costumes for the upcoming Marvel film, which stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, and Angelina Jolie. The film is directed by Chloé Zhao, who previously won an Academy Award for Best Director for Nomadland at the 93rd Academy Awards.
In Eternals, Chan, Madden, Nanjiani, Henry, and Jolie are joined by Laura Ridloff, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Barry Keoghan, and Salma Hayek as a team of immortal aliens who reunite to save humanity from a hostile race of aliens known as the Deviants. Each member of the team has their own unique costume, with different stylings, patterns, and color schemes while also having some elements of a uniform shared between them. Producer Nate Moore and costume effects supervisor Coveny have discussed how they made the Eternals’ uniforms different from uniforms seen in other superhero films such as X-Men, and now Coveny alongside fellow costume designer Sheldon has offered insight into their creative process, giving fans a glimpse into the films’ production.
