The inspiration behind this video:
The Pokémon franchise already made its live-action debut in 2019 with the somewhat underwhelming Detective Pikachu. As far as first tries go, the movie satiated fans’ appetites to see their favorite Pokémon on the big screen. However, it was also very safe and somewhat forgettable and left many fans hungry to see a more faithful adaptation of the games or anime. The upcoming Netflix live-action series is still in early development, so there aren’t many details about its plot or tone. Still, fans see it as the perfect opportunity to develops the franchise’s themes and storylines, making it one of the most exciting projects in a franchise chock full of them.
