The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a wealth of new movies and TV shows planned that are sure to keep their content calendar full for the next several years as they work through the MCU’s Phase 4 and into Phase 5. Beginning with the release of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk in 2008, the MCU has gone on to grow into the most successful movie franchise ever. The MCU repeatedly blasts through global box office records with their movie releases and even in the face of the pandemic has managed to pull in some impressive box office figures with their latest movies. However, with an ever-growing cast of characters, an expanding multiverse of different stories, and an issue of what is and isn’t canon within the MCU, it can be hard to keep track of what the next MCU release will be and which storyline will be the next to be advanced.
While the upcoming Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever might already be planning to take a wider look at Wakanda itself, the MCU plans to give viewers an even deeper look. While the upcoming Marvel TV show does not yet have an official title, let alone a release date, Kevin Feige has confirmed that a Wakanda-based show will be coming to Disney+. With their break from isolationism in Black Panther, their part in tracking down Zemo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and a What If…? indication that they have mastered space travel, the Wakandans can be sure to see new threats in their future.
