Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower teases Vecna’s revenge in season 5 of the hit Netflix series, revealing that the gang have made a “big mistake.” This summer saw the long awaited return of Stranger Things following a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Season 4 hit the ground running, welcoming audiences back to Hawkins, Indiana, a town plagued by a series of terrifying supernatural occurences that come as a result of its various gates linking it to an eerie alternate reality called the Upside Down.
Stranger Things season 4 brought with it a number of shocking and heartbreaking revelations but at its core was this season’s new big bad, Vecna. Played by Bower, this horrifying humanoid creature stalked his victims, penetrating their minds and killing them in gruesome ways, all in an attempt to weaken the barrier between the real world and the Upside Down, where he resides. Season 4’s epic finale saw Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven face off with Vecna, as she and her friends managed to break the pattern of Vecna’s killings, attacking him but, as the final moments of the episode revealed, not entirely banishing him for good.
