HBO releases new House of the Dragon episode 6 images revealing the many recastings that lie ahead. After premiering just one month ago, House of the Dragon begins about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones during a time when vying for control of the Iron Throne is as contentious as ever. Some major players in the latest Westerosi conflict include the ailing King Viserys Targaryen, Prince Daemon, Princess Rhaenyra, Queen Alicent Hightower, Ser Otto Hightower, Lord Corlys Velaryon, and Ser Criston Cole.
Paddy Considine leads the House of the Dragon cast alongside Doctor Who’s Matt Smith, Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, and Fabien Frankel. In the case of Alcock and Carey, they played the pivotal roles of Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively, charting the characters’ early moves in the lead up to the legendary conflict the Dance of the Dragons. It’s long been known that midway through House of the Dragon season 1, a 10-year time jump would occur and see these younger actors, along with others recast. Now, House of Dragon episode 6 trailers, clips, and images have revealed looks at some of the older actors who will be joining the show in the next episode.
House of the Dragonβs first season will have ten episodes, each of which will run for roughly one hour. Season 1’s tentative schedule is as follows:
