The inspiration behind this video:
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania continues Marvel’s ability to set up Kang as an Avengers villain better than it did with Thanos. Although it is widely agreed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe delivered on Thanos being the Avengers’ biggest villain to date. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame somewhat surprisingly made the Mad Titan such a compelling villain with only minimal build-up. Audiences saw Thanos in two post-credits scenes and briefly in Guardians of the Galaxy before he fought the Avengers and wiped out half of all life in the universe. Still, Marvel seems to have learned some lessons to set up Kang even better.
Whereas Thanos had three minor appearances before becoming the main villain for two Avengers movies, Marvel is dedicating plenty of time to setting up Kang before he fights the Avengers in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Nearly an entire episode of Loki season 1 was spent explaining Kang and the previous multiverse war. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will now showcase another Kang variant and the power he holds from the Quantum Realm. Kang should also be in Loki season 2, and he could always pop up elsewhere. All of this should mean audiences clearly understand Kang and what he wants even before he fights the Avengers.
