Inspiration behind this video:
However, after all is said and done in Wednesday season 1, there’s one mystery that the final few scenes leave for future seasons to work with. While it’s subtle, eagle-eyed viewers may spot that Lurch’s eyes are distinctly different in Wednesday episode 1 compared to episode 8. When he’s initially dropping Wednesday off for school, Lurch and Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) are in the front seat of the Adams car, and it seems as though Lurch’s eyes are a pale gray or blue color. But later, when he’s bringing Wednesday home, Lurch’s eyes are much darker.
There are a few potential reasons for Lurch’s eye change on Wednesday. Firstly, Lurch’s eyes could have changed due to a simple continuity error in production. Or the color change could be part of some Adams family tradition or unique habit of Lurch’s in which he swaps eyes. This would particularly make sense given Lurch’s similarities to Frankenstein, in which case swapping out parts by could be a fun, albeit creepy, character trait. However, the shot that depicts Lurch’s shifted eye color also plays just as Wednesday says, “not all threads are tied up,” suggesting that there could be more to this than meets the eye.
