Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’s projected success may have to do with the many high-profile action sequences the movie will have. One of these scenes involves Cruise riding a motorcycle off a cliff and free-falling toward the ground below. This particular Mission: Impossible stunt almost went terribly wrong when Cruise nearly parachuted into the face of the cliff while practicing the stunt.
In addition to being the most death-defying installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was announced as the first half of a two-part finale for the franchise. Recently, however, director Christopher McQuarrie teased Mission: Impossible 9, confirming there are already ideas for a follow-up to Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. However, it’s still unclear if Cruise would continue with the franchise should Mission: Impossible 9 come to fruition.
