The Boys star Claudia Doumit, who plays Congresswoman Victoria Neuman reveals that new spinoff Gen V will set up events in season 4 of Prime Video’s hit satirical superhero series. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book of the same name, The Boys follows two groups, The Seven, Vought’s leading superhero team, and The Boys, vigilantes who are looking to fight the former and expose them for the fake heroes they are. The show premiered in July 2019 to mass and critical acclaim and in a bid to further expand The Boys universe, Amazon Prime ordered a live-action spinoff Gen V, which is due for release later this month.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Doumit, who will feature in Gen V, reveals that the show will help set up The Boys season 4. She also advises viewers of the franchise to watch Gen V before diving into the forthcoming season of The Boys in order to get better context. Read her full comments below:

“It was great to shoot Gen V because they tee up a lot of stuff that’s going to happen in season 4 for The Boys. Gen V lays a lot of the groundwork and a lot of the foundations that season 4 will be built on for The Boys. So, watch it because it gives you a lot of information.”
